Carbon Laser Facial Treatment Aftercare Advice

Make-up may be applied 2 hours after the treatment only.

Your skin will be fragile for 2 - 3 days.

Be gentle washing your face – do not rub the treatment area.

Moisturise frequently, we recommend using collagen gel between treatments (this can be purchased from us if necessary)

Avoid sun exposure and tanning creams.

Use SPF 30 or greater sunscreen on the treatment area if you go into strong sunshine.

Do not take a hot bath for a few days but showers are fine if tepid water is used.

Avoid excessive sweating for 24 to 48 hours.

No saunas, steak rooms or vigorous working out.

Avoid irritants such as Retin-A, Retinol, Renova, glycolics, bleaching creams and exfoliants for at least two weeks.

Keep well hydrated!

It is best to avoid smoking after your treatment, as smoking constricts the capillaries and taxes the immune system, thereby slowing the potential collagen remodelling that is one of the longer term benefits of this treatment.
