NEVER TOUCH AND PLAY WITH YOUR PIERCING!
DO NOT TURN YOUR PIERCING!
Never use cotton wool when cleaning your new piercing as this can snag and possibly cause tears and infection.
You can get pointed cotton buds or an interdental brush to clean your jewellery.
You may experience some bleeding or bruising around your piercing during the first few days, this is perfectly normal but if you are concerned at all then please pop in immediately so we can check it out for you.
You can make your own piercing aftercare solution by mixing a level teaspoon of sea salt into a 500ml bottle of drinking water.
Alternatively you can purchase one of our ready made saline & Lavender sprays for £2.50 a bottle.
Spray the solution directly onto your piercing twice (2 pumps) and lightly dab off any excess liquid from the surrounding area with a clean paper towel.
If you can't see your piercing well enough to check it is definitely clean then ask a friend or family member to check it for you and if necessary get them to remove any dried discharge from the jewellery then do what is stated in the last paragraph.
Skin Piercings:
Spray the piercing twice a day for 4 to 6 weeks and then once a day for a further 4 to 6 weeks using saline solution in a small spray bottle.
Cartilage piercings:
Spray the piercing twice a day for 4 to 6 weeks and then once a day for a further 4 to 8 weeks.
ALWAYS CLEAN YOUR PIERCING AFTER WASHING YOUR HAIR!
Tongue piercings:
Rinse your mouth first thing in the morning, after eating and last thing at night with a non alcoholic mouthwash or mild salt water (0.9%)
